1984 Harley-Davidson BTFL in Albany, NY

Completely original, one minor screwdriver scrath on fender, chipped paint on handlebar due to sloppy tie-down technique (not me!)Here's your chance to own one of the rarest and fastest street Harleys ever made. The XR-1000 was made in very limited numbers (880) in 1984, with a unique engine that put out 72 horsepower. Fitted with super hardened aluminum heads (68 degree included valve angle, as opposed to the stock Sportster 90 degree iron heads) and twin Dell' Orto side draft carbs, it is quite distinctive and many Harley aficionados have never seen one! This bike is completely original, including the stock steering stabilizer. The tires are also original (a good idea to change them, and only put the originals on for shows). The condition is very good, with one small screwrive scratch on the fender behind the seat, and some paint chips on the handlebars from some nitwit tying it down with a chain (before I got it...).
